Hollywood actor Nick Pasqual has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged attack on his former girlfriend. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office revealed on Wednesday that Pasqual, 34, faces multiple charges including one count of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse or cohabitant. If convicted, he could face a life sentence.
Entertainment Tonight reports that the victim is makeup artist Allie Shehorn. A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help cover her medical expenses. According to the district attorney’s office, Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s Los Angeles home around 4:30 a.m. on May 23 and stabbed her multiple times. Shehorn had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual and was hospitalized with critical injuries.
Victim’s Critical Condition
Shehorn was rushed to the intensive care unit and has undergone multiple surgeries, including one to repair severed tendons in her right arm and another to close wounds in her neck. The GoFundMe page describes her as “fighting for her life” and highlights the traumatic experience she has endured.
“No one deserves to endure such a traumatic experience, especially someone as compassionate and caring as Allie,” the GoFundMe page reads.
Pasqual fled the city after the attack, prompting an arrest warrant. He was eventually detained at a U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Texas. Officials have stated that Pasqual will be extradited to Los Angeles to face charges, although an arraignment date has not yet been set. The Los Angeles Police Department is continuing its investigation into the case.
