In her first Spanish-language interview, Heard expressed her love for the country and her desire to stay in Madrid. Heard’s decision to settle the defamation case with Depp, in which she agreed to pay him $1 million, was announced in December of the previous year. She explained her decision in an Instagram post, stating that she had lost faith in the American legal system and did not want to go through another trial.
