Ariana Grande at the 96th Annual Academy Awards on 10 March
The dissolution of the marital bond between American vocalist Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez has been formally acknowledged, concluding an alliance that spanned almost three years.
A decisive decree from the Los Angeles Superior Court, delivered on Tuesday, has ratified the severance of ties between the 30-year-old musical luminary and the 28-year-old real estate tycoon.
In accordance with the terms of their accord, Grande will render a lump-sum payment totaling $1.25 million (£980,000) to Mr. Gomez.
Initiating proceedings six months prior, Grande had cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for the parting.
The genesis of their union dates back to January 2020, amidst the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, culminating in a modest and secluded ceremony at her abode in Montecito, California, in May 2021.
Further stipulations of the settlement entail an equitable distribution, affording Mr. Gomez a fifty percent share in the proceeds from the sale of their abode in Los Angeles.
Additionally, Grande is to assume responsibility for legal expenses incurred by Mr. Gomez’s representation, extending up to $25,000, with no provision for spousal support.
According to legal documentation, the estrangement transpired over a year ago, facilitated by the presence of a prenuptial agreement. With no progeny to complicate matters, legal entanglements were promptly resolved, culminating in a swift conclusion to their marital contract.
