Infosys Ltd on Wednesday reported a 12 per cent rise in March-quarter profit as it won more contracts from global businesses

Infosys Ltd, India’s second largest software services firm, on Wednesday reported a 12 per cent rise in its profit for March-quarter of 2021-22 as it won more contracts from global businesses expanding their digital presence. Cloud services also contributed to the growth in earnings.
The Bengaluru-based company’s consolidated net profit climbed to ₹ 5,686 crore ($746.87 million) in the quarter ended March 31, 2022 from ₹ 5,076 crore a year earlier.
Revenue from operations rose to ₹ 32,276 crore. a rise of 23 per cent against ₹ 26,311 crore recorded during the corresponding period of last year.
“Infosys delivered highest annual growth in a decade with broad-based performance driven by deeply differentiated digital and Infosys Cobalt led cloud capabilities… We continue to gain market share as a result of sustained clients’ confidence in our ability to successfully navigate their digital journeys”, said Infosys CEO and Managing Director Salil Parekh.
