Michelle Obama’s Winning Chances Vs Trump Revealed; Biden’s ‘Sleepy’ Admission | USA Election Latest
A Reuters/Ipsos poll from July 1st to 2nd found that 50% of 1,070 Americans, including 892 registered voters, would vote for Michelle Obama today, while 39% would vote for Donald Trump.
Republicans are usually very efficient in their political strategies. However, this time, they may have acted too quickly. Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential race is bad news for Donald Trump. The race has been between an older Biden and an aggressive Trump. Now, instead of Biden, Trump will face a younger and more energetic opponent at a time when Americans are tired of older candidates and their old ways. Trump and the Republicans created this problem by attacking too soon. The recent debate showed that Biden may not meet Americans’ expectations anymore. Biden has had a great career, but age affects everyone.
President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential race on Sunday. This decision solves one problem for the Democrats but creates another. Four years ago, Biden was the key to stopping Trumpism, and that’s what Democrats and the country need again in 2024. Republicans should have waited to attack Biden’s abilities until it was too late for Democrats to choose someone else.
Now, no matter who the Democrats pick, Trump will have a tougher time. He has to defend a Republican Party that seems out of touch, wanting extreme measures on immigration and abortion, which many Americans do not support. Against a more dynamic opponent, Trump’s usual claims about Democrats won’t work.
Democrats have several candidates who could beat Trump, but Michelle Obama is their best bet. Polls show that other potential candidates, including Vice President Kamala Harris, would start behind Trump. Michelle Obama, however, leads Trump by 11 points. Since leaving the White House, she has supported others and said she’s not interested in running. But she’s also expressed concern about the November election. If the Democratic National Convention drafts her, it would be hard for her to refuse.
After stepping down, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the nominee. Dawn Staley, a women’s basketball legend, recently urged former President Barack Obama on social media to support Michelle Obama for a four-year term, suggesting he would make a good “First Gentleman.”
