“My Creative Designing As A Freelancer.”
I’m posting my 1500th blog today. That way, reaching another magical figure. I have published most of them on my website, ‘News Outlook Translates Opinion Indeed‘ whereas they have accepted and published quite a few in many other periodicals. I am giving a brief about my designing for the Apparels,which has also picked up slowly alongside my writing the non-fiction stuff.
My prior “My Daily Thoughts” column focused primarily on marketing and sales management. That was primarily based on my 38-year sales experience, during which many facets of “Selling” and even the “Psyche” of the salesperson were extensively covered under several heads. Even my first book on sales, “38 Years of Selling,” was essentially an excerpt and a collection of different tales from my four-decade selling career.
Today I wanted to write something different-for which I had the special inclination right from the beginning. It is about the creative designing-which I have been displaying & selling on international platforms online and getting a very good response. This response has acted as an impetus for me to go in for more and more new creative and innovative designs for the various apparel and even the various home-display pieces. I have the shops with the name “RT’s Shop” at the various known platforms like “Redbubbles”, “Spreadshirt”, “Teepublic”, “TeeChip” and also “Teesprings”.
Today I shall be displaying some of the well-acclaimed designs created by me and which gave me some commercial gain as well. This mainly was started right from the time when I got retired in October-2019.

Initially, I was doing only the Typographical & Digital designing and the various quotes and even certain commonly spoken slang were designed for the apparel. This evoked a good response and induced more confidence in me for doing more of the artwork on the same pattern. Some of them were liked very much and put on rapid advertisement circles by the concerned selling platforms and we could get a fairly good response on the same. The following are some of them which have been liked very much especially in the European and US sections.

Unfortunately, from the Asian side and mainly from India, the response to such selling online has not been that encouraging, and despite putting all the advertisement push and even the touch of Indian designs, the response has still not been seen from any front. The main reason for the same might be the trust and the follow-up online, especially for the creative purchases, is still not brewed up here in our community to date. Hopefully, the way digitization is happening and the dependence on internet purchases- is increasing, I am sure that we too would get substantial sales from India as well.
My intention to do such a work that is altogether different from the line of sales was simply to get a satisfaction level from this creative faculty and in the process spread the same across to the people.
I have so far done hundreds of designs for the apparel, especially displayed on the shops of Redbubble and even “Spreadshirt”. Became Popular During COVID-19-New Normal Design.
The onset of COVID-19 and the people putting all the stress on maintaining social distance and not to shake hands was very prominent. I had made a beautiful design of a folded hand with the message of “The New Normal”-Namaste. I liked very much it and I had to submit the same design to the other shops of “Teepublic” as well as “Redbubble” together.
Another very popular design for the T-shirts was that of the Vintage Concept depicting my year of birth and the Model of 1961 car in the US-this was also liked very much and its T-shirts were sold well. On Mother’s Day- I had made one design with a mother and a kid along with a very impactful Text on it -that was also liked very much by many.
