Online banking services will be available during the holidays

The Reserve Bank of India has released the bank holidays list for August. Banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days in the month, according to the RBI calendar.
Both the private and public banks remain shut on gazette holidays, statutory holidays and Sundays. Banks also don’t operate on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
Apart from these holidays, there are several regional festivals to be celebrated across the states. On such occasions, the local branches of the banks in different states would also remain closed.
You need to plan all your bank-related work to avoid any inconvenience as the banks will not operate for almost half of the month in August. Online banking services will be available during the holidays.

National and Regional Holidays:
August 1: Drukpa Tshe-zi (Sikkim)
August 8 and 9: Muharram
August 11 and 12: Raksha Bandhan
August 13: Patriot’s Day
August 15: Independence Day
August 16: Parsi New Year (Shahenshahi)
August 18: Janmashtami
August 19: Shravan Vad/Krishna Jayanthi
August 20: Sri Krishna Ashtami
August 29: Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva
August 31: Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)/Ganesh Chaturthi/Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata/Vinayakar Chathurthi
Banks will only remain closed across the country on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day. Other regional holidays include Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami, Shahenshahi, and Muharram.
