Explosion at Bengaluru’s Rameshwaram Cafe
A bomb blast occurred at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, injuring nine individuals, as reported by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The blast, captured on CCTV, prompted an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), bomb squad, and forensics laboratory, revealing the use of an improvised explosive device (IED). Police have initiated legal proceedings under anti-terror laws. The BJP’s Bengaluru South MP, Tejasvi Surya, conversed with the cafe owner, who stated that the blast resulted from a bag left by a customer, contradicting initial speculation of a cylinder explosion.
