In the latest compilation by Forbes spotlighting the worldโs most influential women, four noteworthy Indians secure positions. Notably, Nirmala Sitharaman stands tall at the 32nd spot, carving her niche as Indiaโs inaugural full-time Finance Minister since May 2019.
New Delhi: Forbesโ prestigious list of the globeโs most powerful women unfolds with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman clinching the 32nd position. This illustrious lineup includes stalwarts like US Vice President Kamala Harris and the renowned musician Taylor Swift. Among the notable Indian women joining Sitharaman are HCL Corporation CEO Roshni Nadar Malhotra (ranked 60), Steel Authority of India chairperson Soma Mondal (ranked 70), and Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (ranked 76).
At the helm of the list stands Ursula von der Leyen, Chief of the European Commission, trailed by Christine Lagarde, Head of the European Central Bank, securing the second position, and US Vice President Kamala Harris securing the third.
