Kolkata Knight Riders secured the top spot with a dominant performance against Lucknow Super Giants, securing a massive 98-run victory on Sunday. This victory propels the Shreyas Iyer-led squad to 16 points, leaving them just one win away from securing their spot in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants slipped to the fifth position with 12 points, the same as Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, but with an inferior Net Run Rate (NRR). In another match, Chennai Super Kings maintained their third position with a victory over Punjab Kings, elevating them to 12 points. Punjab Kings currently hold the eighth position with 8 points from 11 matches.

Facing a daunting target, Lucknow Super Giants had to attack from the outset, but struggled to find the big shots and were eventually bowled out for 137 in 16.1 overs.
Within the initial 10 overs, Lucknow Super Giants lost half their side, including skipper KL Rahul (25), Arshin Kulkarni (9), Deepak Hooda (5), and big hitters Marcus Stoinis (36) and Nicholas Pooran (10).

In pursuit of a modest 168, Punjab Kings stumbled from the outset, with only Prabhsimran Singh (30) and Shashank Singh (27) making notable contributions with the bat, before being restricted to 139 for 9 in 20 overs.
In addition to Jadeja, Simarjeet Singh (2/16) and Tushar Deshpande (2/35) each picked up two wickets for CSK.
Earlier, leg-spinner Rahul Chahar and pacer Harshal Patel impressed with three wickets apiece as Punjab Kings displayed disciplined bowling to limit CSK to 167 for nine.
