Sunny Deol’s movie “Gadar 2” has maintained its strong performance on the first Monday after its release, according to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The sequel, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, earned over ₹38 crore on Monday, a figure almost on par with its first-day earnings of ₹40.10 crore. This robust performance has pushed the film’s total earnings to over ₹173 crore, and it’s aiming to join the ₹200 crore club. Adarsh noted that the movie’s success is driven by mass pockets, particularly smaller centers. The film critic mentioned that “Gadar 2” appeals to Sunny Deol fans and nostalgia seekers for the excesses of classic Bollywood. The movie is the sequel to the 2001 hit “Gadar” and features reprised roles by Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma.
