A top HR executive at a tech company has stepped down after a viral concert video sparked major online buzz.
Kristin Cabot, head of human resources at New York-based tech firm Astronomer, resigned following a widely shared video that showed her embracing CEO Andy Byron during a Coldplay concert. The company confirmed her resignation in a short statement, simply saying:
“Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer, she has resigned.”
This comes just days after Byron also resigned, following the company’s announcement that he was being placed on leave pending an internal investigation.
What Happened?
The incident occurred at a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. While performing, Chris Martin asked cameras to scan the crowd for fans to feature during his “Jumbotron Song.” That’s when Cabot and Byron appeared on the big screen—cuddling, smiling, and clearly enjoying the moment.
But once they realized they were live on the jumbotron, Cabot looked stunned—her jaw dropped, hands flew to her face, and she quickly turned away. Byron ducked out of the frame.
