My Thoughts Watching J.Lo’s ‘This Is Me… Now: A Love Story’
Jennifer Lopez’s film, “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” brims with celebrity cameos, yet several A-Listers Jennifer hoped to include were unable to participate.
The cinematic companion to Jennifer’s latest album premiered on Feb. 16, boasting a dozen celebrity appearances. However, her documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” unveils a roster of desired celebrities who couldn’t join the project.
In snippets from the documentary, producers lament the unavailability of stars like Taylor Swift, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge, and Lizzo. Even Vanessa Hudgens and Ariana Grande are out of reach, the latter tied up in London until September.
Amidst disappointment, Jennifer considers tapping Bad Bunny for a cameo, only to find he’s unavailable. Snoop Dogg also remains out of reach.
Frustrated, Jennifer confides in her manager, Benny Medina, expressing reluctance to coerce anyone into participating.
The film does secure one unexpected star: Derek Hough, initially booked for a wedding, who ultimately joins as one of Jennifer’s love interests.
While fictional suitors vie for Jennifer’s affection in the film, it’s rooted in her real-life romance, particularly her rekindled relationship with Ben Affleck in 2021, a significant support in realizing her creative endeavors.
“He definitely guided me through the process,” Jennifer revealed in an exclusive interview. “It was a new experience for me.”
At its conclusion, Ben congratulated her on the film’s success, expressing pride in her achievement.
