It’s been 15 years since the world lost Michael Jackson at the age of 50 on June 25, 2009. Despite the challenges that followed, Jackson’s three children have grown into their own and continue to make their father proud. Sources close to the family reveal the current lives of Prince, Paris, and Bigi in the latest issue of Us Weekly.
Prince, Paris, and Bigi: Thriving Beyond Fame
“Some people could let nepotism get to their heads, but they are the complete opposite of that,” an insider shares, describing the grounded nature of Jackson’s sons, Prince, 27, and Bigi, 22, along with daughter Paris, 26. Their resilience and drive have kept them focused on their individual paths, steering clear of relying solely on their father’s legacy.
Paris, the most publicly visible of the trio, has built a career in modeling, acting, and singing. Her musical journey includes the release of a studio album, Wilted, in 2020, and two EPs, The Soundflowers (2020) and The Lost EP (2022). “She wanted to make a living and not depend on [her father’s] money,” a second source notes.
In contrast, Jackson’s sons prefer a more private life. “Bigi is the most private of the siblings,” says the source. “He lives independently and enjoys his hobbies without the need to work.” Prince, on the other hand, balances a life of adventure and philanthropy. “He loves riding motorcycles and his charity work,” reveals an insider, emphasizing his dedication to giving back.
Strong Family Bonds and Personal Relationships
Prince has been in a committed relationship with Molly Schirmang for over seven years. A third source affirms their bond is strong, despite no immediate plans for marriage. “Molly doesn’t care about Prince’s fame or who his family is,” the insider states, highlighting the genuine nature of their relationship. Schirmang also shares a good rapport with Paris and Bigi, reflecting the close-knit family dynamics.
The siblings maintain a tight bond, supporting one another through life’s ups and downs. “They are each other’s best friends and all stick together,” says a source. This unwavering solidarity would surely make their father proud.
Michael Jackson’s children come from diverse backgrounds. Prince and Paris were born to Jackson and his ex-wife Debbie Rowe, while Bigi was welcomed via surrogate. Paris, who had minimal contact with Rowe during childhood, reconnected with her during her teenage years. “It’s just cool having her as a friend,” Paris shared in a 2021 interview, appreciating the newfound relationship with her mother.
A Legacy of Music and Memories
Paris frequently speaks about her bond with her late father. During an August 2023 performance, she paid tribute to him, acknowledging his influence on her musical career. “He put 50 years of blood, sweat, and tears and love and passion into doing what he did,” Paris told the audience, expressing gratitude for the legacy he left behind.
Michael Jackson’s children continue to honor his memory while forging their own paths. Their journeys reflect resilience, independence, and a deep-seated bond that keeps them united.
