In a shocking development, Joseph Duggar, known for appearing on the reality show 19 Kids and Counting, has been arrested in connection with serious allegations involving a minor.
What Happened?
According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, Duggar, 31, was taken into custody on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12, as well as inappropriate behavior by an adult.
Authorities say the alleged incident occurred in 2020 during a family vacation in Panama City, Florida. Duggar is currently waiting to be extradited to face charges where the incident reportedly took place.

Investigators claim that Duggar repeatedly asked a 9-year-old girl to sit on his lap. When she instead sat beside him on a couch, he allegedly covered them with a blanket and engaged in inappropriate touching.
The victim, now 14 years old, recently reported the incident to police. According to officials, she said Duggar apologized at the time and stopped his actions afterward.
Authorities also stated that when the girl’s father confronted Duggar, he allegedly admitted guilt to both the father and investigators.
