Kiszla: U.S. swimmer Katie Ledecky is a six-time Olympic champ, but can we stop calling her the GOAT
Katie Ledecky has cemented her status as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) in swimming with her remarkable achievements. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, she won the gold medal in the 1500m freestyle, breaking her own Olympic record. This victory is part of her impressive collection of 12 Olympic medals, including eight golds. Ledecky holds world records in the 800m and 1500m freestyle events and has broken world records over a dozen times. She has the 20 fastest times in the 1500m freestyle and remains unbeaten in the 800m and 1500m freestyle at world championships and the Olympics. Additionally, Ledecky was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her accomplishments.
