Téa Leoni Ties the Knot With Actor Tim Daly After 11 Years of Dating
Here’s some heartwarming news for Madam Secretary fans — Téa Leoni and Tim Daly just got married in real life!
The couple, who played husband and wife on the CBS political drama, tied the knot in a quiet ceremony in New York on Saturday, July 12. Their reps confirmed the news to People magazine, saying the wedding was an intimate affair with only close family present.
Leoni, 59, and Daly, 69, first met back in 2014 while filming Madam Secretary, where they portrayed Elizabeth and Henry McCord. The show ran for six seasons, from September 2014 to December 2019.
Their chemistry wasn’t just great on screen — sparks flew off-screen too. The pair started dating in real life during the summer of 2014 and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April 2015.
Even their co-stars were surprised when they found out. Actor Geoffrey Arend, who also starred in Madam Secretary, told People at the time, “I heard a rumor about it, and everyone was like, ‘No, no way!’” But he quickly added, “Tim’s the best — they’re really good together.”
Before finding love with each other, both Leoni and Daly had previous marriages. Leoni was married to The X-Files star David Duchovny from 1997 to 2014, and they share two children, West and Kyd. Daly was married to actress Amy Van Nostrand from 1982 to 2010, and they also have two children, Sam and Emelyn.
Fans couldn’t be happier to see this beloved on-screen couple become a real-life one. Congratulations to Téa and Tim!
