NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 and Xfinity Race
The Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a NASCAR Cup Series race, has been postponed to Monday at 3pm ET due to continuous rain in Concord, North Carolina. The persistent rain prevented the teams from bringing out the cars on Sunday. The race will now be televised on FOX, with live radio coverage provided by PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Additionally, the NASCAR Xfinity race, originally scheduled for Saturday, has also been postponed to Monday and will be televised on Fox Sports 1 (FS1), starting at 11 a.m. ET.
The Coca-Cola 600, known as the sport’s longest race, will consist of 400 laps covering a distance of 600 miles. It will be divided into four stages, with each stage comprising 100 laps. William Byron and Kevin Harvick will lead the field to the green flag for the race, while Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin will start from the second row. Denny Hamlin and his No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing team are the defending race winners.
Notable in this race is the return of Alex Bowman to NASCAR competition after a four-week absence. He will start from the 31st position. Jimmie Johnson, a four-time winner of the Coca-Cola 600, will be making his third start with Legacy Motor Club and will begin the race in 37th place.
Overall, due to persistent rain, NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 has been rescheduled to Monday, affecting both the Cup Series and Xfinity races.
