Jimmy Graham arrested; Saints blame ‘medical episode’
New Orleans Saints’ tight end, Jimmy Graham, was arrested in Newport Beach, California, on suspicion of drug influence and obstructing a police officer. The Saints’ medical team reported that Graham, aged 36, experienced a seizure that left him disoriented. He was discovered wandering in traffic, prompting police intervention at 7:39 p.m. According to a team statement, Dr. John Amoss, the Saints’ team doctor, believes the seizure was the cause. Graham was taken into custody and subsequently evaluated at a local hospital under medical supervision. He was released the next morning and rejoined the team in preparation for their upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
