The 2025 Emmy Awards are shaping up to be a big night for Apple TV+’s hit show Severance, which scored a whopping 27 nominations—the most of any series this year! The nominations were announced Tuesday, with HBO Max’s The Penguin close behind at 24 nods, while The Studio and The White Lotus tied with 23 each.
Streamers Battle It Out
HBO Max led all platforms with a record-breaking 142 nominations, followed by Netflix (120) and Apple TV+ (81). Warner Bros. Television Group (which, like CNN, is part of Warner Bros. Discovery) earned 60 nominations, making it the top TV studio this year.
Who’s Hosting?
Comedian Nate Bargatze will host the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, airing live on September 14 on CBS. The nominees were revealed by Running Point star Brenda Song and What We Do in the Shadows actor Harvey Guillén.
