Actor Christian Oliver, 51, along with his two daughters, Madita (12) and Annik (10), and pilot Robert Sachs, tragically died in a small plane crash in the Caribbean Sea. The incident occurred near Petit Nevis, shortly after takeoff on a journey to St. Lucia. The crash site was a mile off the coast, and all four occupants were confirmed dead. Divers recovered the bodies, and post-mortem examinations will determine the causes of death. The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is investigating, with assistance from the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority.
The U.S. State Department is providing consular assistance to the victims’ families. Oliver, born in Germany and known for his role in the 2008 film “Speed Racer,” had recently posted about being in paradise with his family.
