For the occasion, Abhishek Bachchan picked a bright yellow kurta with flowers embroidered on it. Sharing the photos, Shweta Bachchan Nanda wrote, “Twinning and Winning – perfect end to an incredible day.” She also added white heart icons to her caption. Director Zoya Akhtar has dropped a set of black hearts. Shweta’s son Agastya is making his Bollywood debut with Zoya’s The Archies. Chunky Panday, Neha Dhupia, Mozez Singh, and designer duo Sandeep Khosla and Abu Jani followed suit.
On Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday, Shweta Bachchan Nanda made a trip down memory lane and shared a priceless throwback picture from her childhood to wish her dad. In the blast from the past, Big B is looking adorably at a pint-sized Shweta. Sharing the photo, Shweta borrowed the lyrics of Jim Reeves’ But You Love Me Daddy and wrote, “As the song goes … “but you love me daddy” and I you (infinity and amulet icons).”
Shweta Bachchan Nanda posted some more pics to express how much she loves her “grand old man.” She wrote the lyrics of Pakistani singers Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal’s song Tu Jhoom and added, “To my grand old man, Happy 80th birthday.”
To surprise Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek had planned a special episode on Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, a “place he (Big B) loves the most.” Abhishek Bachchan posted a video detailing how he carried out the whole plan, “It took a lot of secrecy, a lot of planning, a lot of hard work and a lot of rehearsals to get it right. But then again, he deserves no less! It was very emotional to be able to surprise dad and celebrate his 80th Birthday at the place he loves the most, his workplace.” The special episode also featured Jaya Bachchan.
